Bug Tunnel Defense


Bug Tunnel Defense is the first game we’ve officially sponsored at GamingTags and it is, in my opinion, the best build-in-the-path Flash TD since Desktop Tower Defense or Gem Defense. It was developed by John Blackburne. Check out his blog to get the latest developments on the series.

Most of the mechanics are similar to Desktop TD but there is one very interesting difference, the introduction of the tunneling concept.

Tunnels add a whole new dynamic to the game. It feels way more strategic now that you have to account for tunnels. In a traditional TD you pretty much just maze both spawn points into a choke point then push them through a single maze to get double value from your towers. Now, you really have to spend a little time thinking about how to use tunnels to your advantage while blocking off tunnels that hinder your maze. If used properly you can conserve resources desperately needed for tough early bosses.

Bug TD is absolutely huge! There are 40 levels, 160 upgrade options, 60 awards, a map editor and a vault to share your created maps with friends and the community!

The only real negative I have on this game is the graphics but I’d give that up for solid game play any day of the week.
