Paxcon - Pacman/Qix Merger
Paxcon merges Pacman with the classic Qix. Essentially you have a bunch of ghost/monster/bad guys running around in the middle of the screen. Your job is to make a mad dash across no-mans land leaving a trail of blocks behind Pacman. If you don’t get eaten by a ghost and make it to the other side you then control the territory you just snatched. You may also use trap enemies by running between them. If you are able to gain 80%+ of the territory without succumbing to the “game over” screen you are rewarded by getting to do the same thing over again with additional monsters.
Pacxon is repetitive but I like it simply for the nostalgia feel to the game. You get classic Pacman music and graphics to while the hours away to. Hopefully they come out with Zelxon next using only Zelda graphics, music and characters!

In the world of gaming, there are huge variety genres available. Games range from popular network games to classic games that have been resurrected online and tweaked to become more visually appealing even to younger players. These games can be played to while away time but can also be very addicting, causing one to lose focus and work and keep on playing it till ‘Game Over’. One such game is Pacxon. Brought online by JustFreeGames, this game combines two of the most addicting classic games ever played, Pac Man and Jezzball or Qix.
Pacxon combines the gameplay of Jezzball/ Qix with the characters of Pac Man. In the game, you start off with a rectangular game area and play as Pac Man. The main objective is to trap ghosts by building walls around to enclose them in. Let them touch you or your unfinished wall, and you lose a life. You only get to move on to the next round after you have filled up 80% or more or the game area. Along the way bonus fruits will appear in the game area, and eating them gives you the power to eat ghosts, or make ghosts move slower or stop moving temporarily.
The game is really easy to play, with controls using the keyboard’s arrow buttons. And for old Pac Man players, it is nostalgic to see Pac Man zooming around the screen with his old ghost enemies prowling about.

My wrist is so sore from playing this fun game. I saw my kids playing it one day and it sure does remind me of the good old “Atari” type days!
