Play Here: Contour

Contour is a mix between Populus, Marble Madness and miniature golf. Instead of striking the ball with a club you move the ball by raising or lowering the terrain. The concept is simple enough and the game can be fairly challenging but something is missing. You just don’t get a feel for how well or poorly you are doing. If you know what the par is for the course before starting that would certainly help.

It would also be great if the game would show you what special terrain squares do before you start a course. At least then you aren’t wasting your time the first time you play each course.

I like Contour overall. I would like to see a version with fewer random elements and the ability to precisely calculate your course but this arcade version probably works better for most people.
