Protector is a sequel to the massively addicting Defender tower defense. The main difference is you keep track of your stats, unlock maps and earn skills which are used to beef up your mage’s arcane powers. The game also loads faster and is much more stable than the original.

I’m not really sure if I like how the skill tree works in this. It is possible to reset your skills and reallocate at any time. The problem for this is you can easily pump skills to exploit the weaknesses of each map. So if you are having trouble on a map with a lot of ice creatures just reallocate to pump your fire skills and build primarily only 1 type of mage for the tower defense.

Overall I think Protector should have deviated a little further from Defender but it’s still and extremely fun game.
