20 Flash Game Ideas
1. RTS Pong
This game would be played in a large square area with obstacles. 2 adjacent sides would be controlled by each player. There would be 2-5 paddles per side. The game starts with each paddle launching a ball in a direction set by the player. Every round players have a set number of action points to move their paddles. When they catch a ball they earn points used to purchase balls, paddles and other equipment. If a ball touches a side the nearest paddle dies. The first player to cause their opponent to lose all their paddles wins.
2. Ender’s Defense
This would be an MMO where each player controls a planet. They are in charge of building their planetary defenses by purchasing satellites, ships and other implements of war. The first player to conquer the galaxy wins.
3. Get off my clock mouse!
Strategic gears game where you play as a nutcracker trying to catch an evil mouse hiding withing the gears of a grandfather clock.
4. Snowball RPG
A simple multiplayer battle rpg, with several different modes. Each time your character knocks out another player they gain experience and money. You can spend time either building your base or more snowballs. in some levels there is less snow so your character has to travel around to get more snow.
5. Prebirth Realm
In this geometrical puzzle game you play the part of a lost entity looking for a soul in order to be born. Every level has a soul fragment at the end of a maze of obstacles.
6. Cat vs Mouse
You use your cursor to hide through a virtual computer looking for the file named Mouse.hole while a literal cat chases you around eating away at places where you have been. As a cursor you are allowed to create folders, but this takes quite a bit of time and you have to be still while creating.
7. Anti-Gravity Pool
8-ball game with a bit of a spin. Certain balls do not act like regular pool balls when they are struck by another ball. Instead the brute of the energy from the striking ball gets imparted back upon itself, sending it in the opposite direction.
8. Arson
This starts you off as an arsonist and you are snooping through a building looking for a good place to start a fire. After the fire is set you have slight control over the end of it. You have to keep moving the edge to keep control of it, as levels progress you face firefighters and other obstacles. If you lose control of your edge of the fire you have to tap left and right several times to regain control.
9. Sound Rider
This is a downloadable game which detects the sound coming from your computer and has a character gliding along the sound waves. Has the option for microphone play.
10. TD Commander
You are a Roman officer commissioned with the defense of Exeter. Your job is to hire engineers to construct war devices. Each engineer has a predefined set of skills that are ideal to combat certain types of attackers while weak against others. You may move engineers between regions but no 2 builders may occupy the same region at the same time. This is different from a traditional TD because you don’t actually choose what towers to build and where to place them. This is up to the engineers AI.
11. Vicorus
You play a computer virus. There are 2 modes; search, and destroy. In search you are supposed to upload as many files to your creators computer as you can before the infected computers’ spyware finds you and destroys you, more points on how informational the files. In destroy your goal is to completely wipe out everything on each computer you encounter.
12. Archer Wars
If you have ever played a medieval RTS it is so tempting to just forget about the footman and go with a pure archer army. No more! In this game you construct your army from a wide variety of archer flavors like calvary bowman, longbow archers, slingers and crossbowman.
13. Monty Python Hero
Guitar Hero inspired game where you play the role of a coconut pounding peon.
14. The Mime
The game is a platformer where you play as a mime and nearly all platforms are invisible. Main enemies are kids with waterballoons, serious people who dont get mimes, and clowns.
15. Freelancer RPG
You play the role of a web development freelancer gaining skills such as project management, sales, html, css and graphic design. The goal is build your portfolio large enough to attract VC money so you can retire.
16. Political RPG
You play as the next presidential candidate. Instead of battling you go to debates. The 3 attributes are Intelligence, Charisma, and Money. You travel from state to state gathering followers until you make it to the final battle with vs your political opposition.
17. Balloon Wars
Sometime in the distant future we begin to learn more about the harmful effects of direct sunlight. The sensible scientists decide to look out for our health by starting a campaign to block out the sunlight using black balloons. This is very bad for the skin cancer surgeons of the world. They band together and begin hiring mercenaries to shoot down the balloons. You happen to be one of those surgeons. Your goal is to maintain a thriving business in this time of peril.
18. Ender Trainer
Welcome to the Battle School Colonel Graff. We lucky enough to survive the first attack by the Buggers but we will not survive a second. 19. Chat-Based Battle
1v1 multiplayer where each player has a lifebar, “ink” and character count. certain character combinations have different effects, ie. K+i uses the K as a turret to angle the bar of the i and the dot is shot from the “cannon”. Some characters are offensive and some defensive. O and o act as shields. You build your life bar by combining your attacks with unique words found in Websters dictionary.
20. Castle Builder
Using Lego type blocks you are to build a castle that must withstand waves of attacks. Has several types of blocks for different types of walls, and even moats. Timed mode has timed waves where you just build a strategic castle. Castle Defense allows you to buy units to defend the castle
