Play Here: Simple Tower Defense

If you are a fan of the original Roman Sanine tower defense I suggest you give simple td a shot. It certainly isn’t quite as polished as some of the newer TDs but it is worth a play or two.

The most powerful tower seems to be the sword spitting turret. (reminds me of Zelda) I tried the red tower initially but the sound effects were too much, I had to sell it.

In a lot of tower defenses upgrading to gain range isn’t always worth it. If your tower can only hit 2 paths before and after the upgrade then you usually aren’t gaining a whole lot. In this one the green spray tower can only possibly hit 1 path. With a few upgrades it can hit 2 and possibly 3 but I haven’t been able to get far enough to see. I would like to see games where range and placement are more strategic.
