I can’t believe it has taken me this long to review a Bloons TD. I’ve played Bloons 1 and 2 quite a few times, I just never got around to a review.

It seems that cannon towers and tack shooters are definitely the way to go. They both have the ability to take down a group of balloons in one shot. This is vital in later rounds. The ice ball tower seems good but I think it can be counter productive at times.

You should use road spikes and monkey glue as an absolute last resort. Both hazards disappear can only kill a limited number of balloons and are gone at the end of the round. Just for comparison, if you buy a monkey tower in an early round it could shoot probably upwards of 1,000 balloons during the game. The road spikes only take down 10 balloons max. So a weak monkey tower can net you about 4 balloons per 1 gold where the road spikes only give you 1 balloon per 3 gold. If you compare the hazards to other towers it gets even worse.

This guy managed to beat bloons 2 with 3 lives.
