For the past 2+ years turret defense games have been popping up left and right. The vast majority are mindless point and clickers. Not this one, S.T.A.R Defense (Satellite Turret Alien Recon) is actually fairly strategic.

The first time you play it might seem like the basic…
1) Build weak turrets
2) Clear early waves
3) Build stronger turrets
4) Repeat until you go into a coma

This is not the case. Here are a few quick strategies I’ve come up with so far:
1) Mass weak satellites instead of upgrading (at least early on)
2) Conserve resources - your satellites will run out of ammo and explode so every shot counts
3) Use exploding satellites to your advantage - Instead of building a lot of satellites at once build a new one after every 3-4 shots. Eventually this will mean you have a satellite exploding after every few shots rather than all at once.
4) Spread your satellites over the entire galaxy - This makes it much easier to hit moving alien ships.
5) At the start of each wave wait until the UFOs are close to the sun - You can hit several in one shot by doing this.
6) Don’t use rapid fire - I know it’s tempting but you need to conserve resources.
