Blizzard is developing a new MMO
For several days now, strange job listings have been appearing on various resources. These listings included whole teams of developers for the Blizzard game dev studios. Naturally, everybody thought that the MMO giant was just low on resources for their World of Warcraft expansion pack The Wrath of The Litch King.
But, surprisingly, a Blizzard community rep has stepped up and cleared all the suspicions.
“This is an announcement of a new next-gen MMO” — the rep said. “And it’s definitely not an expansion to World of Warcraft” — duh.
This pretty much has me screaming like a little girl. Ok, so Blizzard has 2 key Real Time Strategy franchises. One is Warcraft — which has already been turned into a hugely successful MMO — and the other is Starcraft, that hasn’t been turned into an MMO, yet. Hhhmm, gives strange thoughts, doesn’t it?
I really don’t think they’d be risking with a new Intellectual Property, it would only be wise to go with an established IP and milk it.

Uhm, something related to Diablo would be great. But it’s hard to convert into MMO I guess.

Leech, quite personally i think it’d be a hell of alot easier to convert Diablo into an MMO than Starcraft
