One of the newer Tower Defense games out there is known as Xeno Tactic. Released on June 6th 2007 (hey that’s my birthday, go me) it has become a favorite among those who prefer a more…futuristic Tower Defense game. It’s kind of hard to call this a “Tower Defense” it’s more like a “Robot Defense” game, but anyways it plays very similar to Desktop Tower Defense.

A fault I find in this game is the lack of challenge to it. Yet it does have a slightly redeeming quality where after you beat an easy level it unlocks a different slightly harder level, which is good for people just barely getting the hang of Tower Defense games, but not so good for Tower Defense veterans. The sound in Xeno Tactic seems to be purely from the game Starcraft.

Personally I dislike futuristic TD games as they just dont have the same feel as a more medevil one, but thats just personal opinion. I hope all of you out there that enjoy this futuristic Desktop TD.
