This game is Risk on steroids. To the best of my knowledge there is not a more strategic global domination game on the market. Better yet, it’s free! If you are talking pure strategy Conqueror takes a back seat to Chess, Go, Othello… In terms of global domination Axis and Allies is the only comparable game.

What makes Conqueror unique?
There are really 2 things that stand out in my mind. Fist of all, the game offers simultaneous turns. This means you and your opponents make economic decisions and battle tactics at the same time. Then after everyone is done (or the timer ends) the turn is resolved simultaneously. This allows the game to be very feature rich while consuming less time.

Secondly, you control the economy, technology, fortifications, diplomacy and military of each country within your empire! This means you have potentially 50+ decisions to make each turn. Most world domination games only require a handful of decisions. (fortify the border and exploit weaknesses)

Hint: balance your economy and your military campaigns. If you don’t have a strong economy and you expand too fast you will not be able to feed your armies when winter comes!
